Custody Transfer SCADA

Client: One of the India’s largest Petroleum Product Producer

Project Requirements:

  • Continuous monitoring of mass flow meter parameters namely mass flow rate, mass flow total, volume flow rate, volume flow total, density & temperature.
  • Batch report generation with details of product name, batch start/stop time, temperature, cumulative mass, cumulative volume and density. Additionally the customer required details of corrected cumulative volume and corrected density at 15°C & 29.5°C as per the ASTM tables.
  • Logging of trend data for mass flow meter parameters.
  • Alarm generation based on user defined set point limits for MFM parameters.
  • Monitoring of Pump Running Indications.

Solution Features, Differentiators & Role of Masibus:

  • Batch Reports with details of batch start-stop time, temperature, cumulative mass, cumulative volume and density along with corrected density & corrected cumulative volume at 15°C and 29.5°C as per the ASTM tables.
  • Enable / Disable the polling and display of Master Mass Flow Meters. Master Mass Flow Meter can be enabled by user while proving of corresponding Line Mass Flow Meter is required and the rest of configured Master MFMs, which are offline, can be disabled for both communication & display, so reducing the unnecessary load on the system.

Masibus provided the solution for Data Acquisition & Batch Report System with 13 numbers of Line Mass Flow Meters, 13 numbers of corresponding Master Mass Flow Meters & 14 numbers of Spare Mass Flow Meters configured in the system. The 13 Line MFM s are fix MFMs for 13 different products, being transferred to the IOCL’s customers either through pipelines or tankers. The Master MFMs are portable MFMs used for proving of corresponding Line MFMs.
