Vibration Certification Program
Masibus has tied-up with Vibration Institute, USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to the exchange of practical vibration information on machines and structures.
The institute conducts internationally recognized certification programs for assessing individual levels of expertise in machinery vibrations. Vibration Institute's Certification Program follows the International Standards Organization standard, ISO 18436, Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics of Machines - Requirements for Training and Certification of Personnel - Part 2: Vibration Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics.
Institute Membership

Individual Membership - US $ 60 per annum.
(special discount, original fee US$75).

Corporate Membership - US $ 500 per annum.
O
Membership fees to be sent in the form of Demand Draft in Indian Rupees equivalent to corresponding US$, drawn in favour of "Masibus Automation and Instrumentation Pvt. Ltd., payable at Gandhinagar, Gujarat."

Four issues of Quarterly magazine Vibrations will be sent to the members.
O
Current Year Annual Proceedings (organized in USA) available at a discounted price of US $ 25 to the members (instead of catalogue price of US$ 50.) US postage charges extra.

Wallet sized membership card will be issued to the member.

Institute Certification Programes
O
The Institute conducts, in USA, certification examinations at four levels, Vibration Specialist - Category I, II, III & IV and issues certificates for the successful candidates.
O
The certificate is valid for a period of FIVE years subjected to continuation of the Institute’s membership.
O
We are authorized to conduct Vibraiton Analyst Category I & II examination in India.
O
The examination fee is Rs.25, 000/- per individual. Certification fees to be sent in the form of Demand Draft, drawn in favour of "Masibus Process Instruments (P) Limited, payable at Gandhinagar, Gujarat." Full amount must be paid in advance.

The examination shall be held at GANDHINAGAR, Gujarat. However, depending upon the response examinations can be conducted at selected Metro Cities.
O
We will receive the Question Paper in "sealed envelope" in the name of the candidate from the Vibration Institute, USA.
O
The candidate shall seal the answered paper and we shall send them to USA.
O
The examination shall be of three hours duration, with 100 multiple-choice questions. A score of absolute 75 and above shall be declared PASS and less than 75, FAIL.
O
The Candidates shall first be informed whether they have passed or failed in the examination and certificates later issued to the successful candidates.
O
After certification, it is mandatory to be the member of the Vibration Institute, for five years by paying the yearly fee of
USD 75.
Eligibility for Certification Programs
It is important that the candidates have a combination of education, training and experience so that they understand the principles and procedures of machinery vibration monitoring and diagnostics.
O
It is recommended but not mandatory that candidates for Category I & II have a secondary school education.
O
For category III & IV, candidates must be able to solve simple algebraic equations, use a basic scientific calculator and also be computer literate.
O
Recommended minimum cumulative experience for the four categories are.
• Category I, 6 months,
• Category II, 18 months,
• Category III, 36 months,
• Category IV, 60 months,

The vibration institute’s certification program is a focal point for acknowledging the capability and motivation of individuals in the vibration field. It provides professional recognition by clients, employees and colleagues.
Recognition
Certified members are listed annually in the vibrations magazine and on the institute’s website. A certificate and card issued by the institute contain pertinent information about the category of certification.
Institute Publication

The Institute publishes Vibrations Magazine, Annual Proceedings, Training Course Notes and other information on Machinery Vibrations.

A copy of the catalogue is available on request.

We are authorized to supply the Institute’s publications in India.
